This service makes important records and information available to members of parliament through a systematic catalog of relevant online journals. Full assistance is also provided wherever needed by menbers of parliament.

The archives collection includes a wide range of rare documents on Parliament such as official papers that originated in parliament, Original Bills and Acts of Parliament, CAPs, Parliamentary speeches and debates, Published committee reports and papers. Committee papers such as unpublished evidence examined by committees and committees’ internal working papers, Minutes of proceedings and other documents relating to proceedings in parliament, Resolutions approved by the parliament, Architectural and historical records relating to the buildings occupied by the parliament, signatures of MPs, photo albums of fallen Members of parliament from 1st Parliament of the first Republic to the 8 th Parliament of the 4 th Republics, Memoranda submitted by stakeholders for the 1992 draft constitution, Shorthand notes of parliamentary proceedings. Private papers of parliamentarians, Photographs, sound recordings, and videos of legislative, and original documentation relating to the origins, history and activities of the parliament. Parliamentary archives will primarily collect records produced by parliamentary bodies, but may also acquire some records from external sources (such as parliamentary records which have been separated historically, or other external records which complement its holdings) like the Volta River Authority original Agreement. The vast majority of parliamentary information is now created and managed digitally and manually.
Inter-Library Loan (ILL) services support the mission of the Parliament of Ghana by providing enhanced access to and delivery of information and materials to Members of Parliament, staff and Research Assistants for parliamentary work. The purpose of ILL is to obtain materials that are not available in Parliament of Ghana Library for MPs, staff and other registered users of the Library. Likewise, we also make materials in our collections available to patrons from other libraries.
